evaluating and treating disorders and injuries of the
musculoskeletal system.  This includes disorders of the
bones (such as osteoporosis), joints (arthritis), soft
tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons), and neurologic
structures.

Orthopaedics encompasses such a vast array of body
parts and problems that many surgeons are
